OBLIQUe

An unusual, exaggerated take on modified drop shoulder shaping gives this classic striped pullover a graphic twist. Bold stripes converge at strong angles along the crisply shaped upper yoke. A clever joining technique at the deeply inset armholes, borrowed from knitted-on edgings, makes for an engaging and almost completely seamless construction.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
Body is worked bottom-up, in the round to the underarms. Stitches are put on hold at each underarm while the shaped front and back yokes are worked flat. Shoulders are seamed, then sleeves are worked top-down from a combination of picked up stitches and held stitches at the underarms. Throughout pattern, phrases like “Left Sleeve” and “Right Shoulder” always refer to the left or right side of the body as the garment is worn. Use needle suitable for working small circumference accordingly.
